The Lumbini Community Multimedia Center (CMC) is located in Manigram, a market area in the Anandavan Village Development Committee (VDC), the local government administrative body. The CMC was established in April 2004 by the technical support of UNESCO in Radio Lumbini.

The Lumbini Community Multimedia Centre (CMC) in Nepal recently organized a seven-day training session for local community members on radio journalism and reporting, with support from UNESCO's programme on intercultural dialogue.
Fifteen teachers from seven government schools across Rupandehi District and two radio producers of Lumbini community multimedia centre (CMC) in Nepal participated in a five-day multimedia education training programme that was organized by CMC Lumbini with support from UNESCO.
Eight people with disabilities now have an opportunity to voice their issues using the community multimedia centre (CMC) in Nepal after a recent training workshop on audio production and new technologies. Of the eight participants, five were visually impaired and the remaining three were physically challenged. The training supported by UNESCO's Global CMC Pilot project aims to innovate combinations of new and traditional technologies as means to increase access to information, knowledge and opportunities for expression in the applications for poverty reduction.
